It was my first Coconut experience! And I wanted to share it with you as I was learning with trial and error.
So apparently coconuts have one “eye” that is the softer of the 3, and this is where you puncture it to get the coconut water out.
I then put it in the oven at 400`F for 30 minutes until it cracks.
Once it cracked, we pulled it out of the oven and tried to break it open(took a lot of work, but I got it!)
That’s where you can see the yummy white flesh that I was dying to eat!
It is supposed to separate from the shell,but we had a hard time getting it to part!
It came off with a thinner layer of brown that was still edible, but you can peel it off with a potato peeler.
One of the best things I’ve ever had! I just went out and bought two more. Can’t wait to get Crackin’! :)
